چکیده
Injury to the recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) is a potentially debilitating complication of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) surgery, which can lead dysphonia, dysphagia, aspiration. Intraoperative adductor reflex (LAR) monitoring newly developed technique assess monitor RLN integrity. However, role LAR in ACDF surgery poorly studied. Here, we describe case intraoperative was successfully performed during ACDF. responses disappeared surgery; however, waveform recovered almost baseline level before end surgery. Neither postoperative dysphagia nor dysphonia observed. Thus, propose that may be useful prevent injury

Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion.
A retrospective review of 94 patients who had undergone anterior cervical discectomy and fusion was performed to analyze the result in patients who had a diagnosis of posterolateral spondylosis, disc herniation, or both. Although in 23 of 94 patients additional adjacent asymptomatic levels of spondylosis were noted, only the symptomatic levels were addressed in the 94 cases. Postoperatively two...

BACKGROUND Both anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion (ACCF) are used to treat multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy (mCSM); however, which one is better treatment for mCSM remains considerable controversy. A meta-analysis was performed to compare clinical outcomes, radiographic outcomes, and surgical outcomes between ACDF and ACCF in tr...
